La cure is a documentary series that follows the difficult struggle a group of men live through at the Centre Robert Piché-Elphège Roussel.

In this closed microcosm everything is done according to strict rules, rules that all the men must follow during a 5-month therapy program, as this community of 70 alcoholics and drug addicts evolves.

The only hope these men have for regaining control of their lives, broken by years of alcohol and drug abuse, is to give themselves another chance.

They’re taking part in a therapeutic process at one of the largest treatment centres for alcoholics and drug addicts in Quebec.

The centre provides treatment and reintegration services for those who often have criminal backgrounds and are dependent on drugs, alcohol, or other substances.

As they engage in the greatest struggle of their lives, residents find the brotherhood and solidarity they need to complete their therapy and give themselves another chance within the community itself.
