Guibord s’en va-t-en guerre

French (Available subtitled in English)

Steve Guibord, independent federal MP for Prescott-Makadewà-Rapides-aux-Outardes, holds the decisive vote in Parliament. The whole country has its eyes on this northern-Quebec riding, which is as big as Belgium, while Guibord has to decide whether Canada will go to war. While he roams his riding consulting the constituents – accompanied by his wife, daughter and an optimistic young Haitian intern named Souverain –  interest groups join a debate that which gets out of hand, and the MP must face his conscience. Guibord s’en va-t-en guerre is a comedy in which politicians, citizens, and lobbies collide and shatter democracy into a thousand pieces
