Embargo Project

Drama
English, French (Available subtitled in Bilingual)

An anthology of five short films by Canadian Indigenous women. Participating in a collective process, each director created a film under restrictions imposed on them by their peers to push each artist into new creative territory.

The Embargo Project is an exploration of collectivity and transmission of knowledge that recognizes Indigenous women as leaders. Driven by fearlessness, the film illustrates a new wave in contemporary Indigenous cinema, and contributes to the vitality and excellence of our art.
